Important Information Regarding COVID-19 at the wellington clinic
Updated 17 August 2021 6pm
New Zealand is at COVID-19 Alert Level 2. We are practising with extra precautions such as more spacing in the waiting room, only one person to accompany you and wearing a mask throughout your visit.
All of our staff have been fully vaccinated.
Our practice is designed for managing aerosols that are produced routinely from the type of surgery we do. COVID-19 virus like many other viral infections we deal with on a daily basis are spread this way. Our theatres are designed with fresh air inflow (not recirculated high wall aircon) and use negative pressure rooms to extract and not push air out into the rest of the building. Extra precautions are taken and we use Positive Air Pressure Respirators (PAPR) to protect our staff when there is any risk. Our practice strictly adheres to and exceeds the standards for infection control by wearing personal protective gear, using hospital-grade disinfectants, practicing the latest sterilization protocols, utilizing single-use disposable materials, and more. We have always made every effort to ensure the safety of our patients and staff. We want you to know that we are monitoring this daily, and we will keep you updated regularly.
If you have any questions or concerns, please contact our office, and one of our staff members will be more than happy to assist you.
If we do go back into alert level 3 or 4 here is a YouTube explaining your visit during this level.
